{"id":1148,"date":"2019-08-28T04:31:03","date_gmt":"2019-08-28T04:31:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibulletin.ilisa.ir\/?p=1148"},"modified":"2019-08-28T04:31:04","modified_gmt":"2019-08-28T04:31:04","slug":"iranian-heritage-in-the-memory-of-the-world-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ibulletin.ilisa.ir\/?p=1148","title":{"rendered":"Iranian Heritage in the Memory of the World Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">As a sub-branch of National Commission for UNESCO, the MOW National Committee was formed in 2005 whose mission is implementation of purposes of the UNESCO\u2019S MOW Program, which has been founded in 1992 for identifying, disseminating information and making available the documentary legacy of all countries. This committee is composed of 9 legal members and 9 real members who are chosen out of experts of the documentary legacy. For<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">now, the committee is presided by Ashraf Broujerdi, Head of the NLAI. As a regular monthly routine, the national committee of the MOWProgramme holds a specialized meeting attending by all of its members in the National<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Library and Archives of Iran building. Explaining about decisions and plans of the committee within the current year, Farhad Nazari, [the Secretary of National committee of the MOW Programme] said, \u201cThe first meeting of the committee, presided by Ashraf Broujerdi, in the current year was held in National Library and Archives of Iran building in the last April. Compiling 14 books about legacies which have been registered in the international and regional inventories of the MOW Programme was among the approvals of this meeting. Emad al-Din Sheikh al-Hokamaee, one of members of the national committee of the MOW Programme, was tasked with managing the compilation of these 14 books. These books are supposed to prepare and print in both Persian and English. From Iran, the following 10 legacies have been<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">registered in the list of MOW Programme, so far: Bayasanghori Sh\u00e2hn\u00e2meh\u201d (Prince Bayasanghor\u2019s Book of the Kings); The Deed For Endowment: Rab\u2019I-Rashidi (RabIRashidi Endowment) 13th Century manuscript; Administrative Documents of Astan-e Quds Razavi in the Safavid Era; Al-Tafhim li Awa\u2019il Sana\u2019at al-Tanjim; Collection of Nezami\u2019s Panj Ganj; Dhakh\u012bra-yi Kh\u0101razmsh\u0101h\u012b; A Collection of selected maps of Iran in the<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Qajar Era (1193-1344 Lunar Calendar \/ 1779-1926 Gregorian Calendar; Kulliyy\u0101t-i Sa\u2019di; Al-Masaalik Wa Al-Mamaalik (Book of Roads and Kingdoms); J\u0101me\u2019 al-Tavarikh. Also, two books titled \u2018Al masalek va Almamalek\u2019, \u2018Vandidad\u2019 and two docu-<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">mentaries titled \u2018Jan-e Marjan\u2019 and \u2018Karbala\u2019s Images\u2019 were registered in the Asia-Pacific list of the UNESCO\u2019s Memory of the World. Four workgroups were formed in order to achieve goals of the MOW Program and to safeguard Iran\u2019s documentary legacy. Through participation of various experts of the documentary legacy, these four workgroups titled \u201cappraisal of works for registering\u201d, \u201cProtection and Monitoring\u201d, \u201cIntroduction and accessibility\u201d and \u201ceducation\u201d will start their works in the current year. Of other plans of the current year, formation of the provincial committee of the MOW Programme in each province with the governor general, as its head, and representatives of all related organizations can be pointed.
