It was inaugurated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. On the sidelines of the ceremony, Broujerdi met with U\u011fur \u00dcnal\u060c the head of the Archives of Turkey, and referred to the 2017 Memorandum of understanding signed by the Presidents of the two countries and mentioned, \u201cThe cultural relations of the countries, along with the political relations, present a perspective to the nations, based on which we can increase the knowledge of two nations of Iran and Turkey of each other.\u201d \u00dcnal mentioned Iran and Turkey as two nations and governments with ancient and historical roots and added, \u201cBoth countries have large archives and in these archives not only are there documents related to their own country but also old documents from other countries are maintained.<\/p>\n
\u201c Broujerdi pointed to the possibility of exchanging digital documents between the two countries and said, \u201cCurrently, there are a significant number of documents related to the Ottoman kings in Iran, and many of these documents and letters of the Ottoman kings were written in Persian.\u201d \u00dcnal emphasized that history is not just about friendships and joys, it includes war, grief, and tragedy, but it is our duty to preserve history and utilize it because accurate historical information is revealed in such a situation.
