In the 12th Ceremony for Introduction of the Best Iranian Museum, the juries of ICOM voted for the Astan Quds Razavi Museum in the “management development” and “collection” sections in 2018. “This appraisal was carried out through four classes: private museums, small public museums, and large public Museums, and Astan Quds Razavi Museum was chosen out of large public museums’ class,” Mahdi Gheysari Nik, the Deputy of Museums Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi said. Astan Quds Razavi Museum is the biggest endowed museum Iran which is located in Mashhad City. This museum has been developed based the endowed works and works used in the Imam Reza holy shrine. The initial building of this museum was founded across the eastern side of Goharshad Mosque in 1937.
