Mingzhou Zhang, [President of International Board on Books for Young People IBBY], was guest of Iranians on Thursday, April 25. In his tour to Iran, Mingzhou Zhang visited NLAI, CBC, Avay-e Mandegar Empowerment Institute, (one of affiliated centers of “Read with Me” Program), Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults and the Institute for Research on the History of Children’s Literature.
In such visits, Zhang admired the instructors of “Read with Me” program and referred to his travel to Iran as a memorable experience. He also visited the museum of Aran Group puppets and their behind scene and workshop.
During this visitation, Zhang became surprised for watching puppets and decorations and promised to invite Aran Puppet Theater Group to China and to open a new connection in cultural interaction between Iran and China as two important countries in the world’s civilization.
