Paul Hawkins, Director of South Central Kansas Library System and South Central Kansas Library Foundation, and Zerehsaz, Member of Board of Directors of Iranian Library and Information Science Association (ILISA) and Scientific Secretary of the Fifth Congress of Information Science Specialists, spoke in the “Future Meeting of Libraries”.
Title of Mr. Hawkins speech was planning for Public Libraries and Proverb Tethering the Camel, while the title of Zerehsaz speech was The Future of Information Sciences, Libraries and Archives Given the Emerging Developments in Iran and the World. The Meeting was held in the Cultural Think Tank of the National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI) on July 23, 2019. In this meeting, the factors which would affect the future of libraries, especially, technologies, digital accessibility and changed behavior of users were considered and analyzed.
