To pay tribute to founder of an Old Iranian satirical weekly journal, a celebration took place in National Library and Archives of Iran- Tehran in 20th August 2018. Many famous humorists, artists, journalists and researchers participated in the event, delivered their speeches on Hassan Tofigh, founder and caricaturist, and its set of magazines.
Tofigh magazine was a satirical, literary and social journal that its first number issued in 1922. Because of lack of freedom of the press by the time, these popular magazine set faced to several limitations during their lifetimes and Tofigh journals stopped several times. Tofigh magazine finally stopped in 1971 for ever in 2nd Pahlavi regime.
