Italy’s and Kazakhstan’s Boards in Iran

Several visits from different countries took place at the National Library of Iran in the last month. Italy and Kazakhstan visited the National Library of Iran on a regular basis and had discussions with the Head of the National Library. Italy and Kazakhstan visited the National Library of Iran on a regular basis and had discussions with the Head of the National Library.Emphasizing the necessity of cooperation between Iran and Italy (in their meeting) national libraries and enhancing the level of cultural interaction between the two countries, Broujerdi said, “We hope to conclude a MOU about sharing and transferring resources digitally and it can be considered as a new milestone in cultural interactions between national libraries of Iran and Italy.”

Exclaiming his happiness for being in the NLAI, Perrone, and the Italian Ambassador to Tehran, said, “The historical and civilization depth between Iran and Italy is both long and close, so building new cultural interactions between the two countries is vitally important and National Library of Iran would play an undeniable role in this regard.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Perrone said, “A job I am very interested to kick off is interaction and cooperation of NLAI with a great encyclopedia in the Italy, although they had cooperation already, which was accompanied with some positive outcomes and consequences.”

Kazakhstan manuscript experts from National Library of Republic of Kazakhstan, General State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan and National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in 22nd theoretical and practical course of protecting and repairing paperback works which was held on August 27 to September 1, 2019.

NLAI holds this academic course for foreign experts since 2007. In this regard, Muhammad Haddadi, Director General of Repair and Protection Department of NLAI said, “One of common problems in Kazakhstan is their low knowledge about Persian Language which would result in some problems in cataloging the manuscripts. Such trainings by Iran to foreign manuscript experts are for keeping the mankind heritage.”
