Governing Board of ISSN

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and health and social measures imposed by several national authorities, the ISSN Governing Board and the ISSN Member Countries voted to cancel all in-person meetings and the International Conference to take place in Paris in April 2020.

Instead of the General Assembly in-person meeting, the ISSN International Centre organized an Online meeting for the 23rd General Assembly.

In this meeting, Memari, Senior Administrator of ISSN National Centre of Iran, was elected as a governing board member. ISSN’s governing board consists of UNESCO members, the French Government, and ten selected candidates from member countries.

The new governing board comprises members from Germany, Spain, Iran, United States, Brazil, United Kingdom, Tunisia, Sweden, and Croatia.
