According to the most recent report of “NEMA: The Global Citation Indices (2017)”, Iran ranks first in the region in two indices: “Web of Science” and “Scopus”. The report also presents an analysis of Iran’s status in the two indices. As recently announced by Dr. Sirous Alidousti, director of Iranian Research Institute for Information Science and Technology (IranDoc), the Institute has launched the NEMA System (http://nema.irandoc.ac.ir), and is engaged in monitoring the performance of various science, technology, and innovation systems of the country and prepare and present the necessary reports for policy-making.
