The meeting of experiences and ideas of librarians was inspired by the panel of lightning talks in IFLA 2018 Malaysia. At that time, for the first time, a panel called rapid or lightning talks was presented in IFLA, and the participants presented their articles in a short and fast time. After this idea was presented in the meeting of the Iranian Library and Information Association in 2017, it was approved and it was decided to have a special panel in the annual Congress of Information Sciences specialists. In this panel, information science experts, including students, librarians, and faculty members, present their experiences and ideas related to the theme of the congress or issues related to information science and epistemology, and archives. Presenters have 7 minutes to present their experiences and ideas. Time management, scientific content, creative topics, and practical experience are among the indicators that are considered to introduce the best experience and ideas. In the 8th Congress of Information Science Specialists, after reviewing the received works, an effort was made to present works that are most related to the main theme of the Congress in the experiences and ideas section. Although there is no limit in this field. The best experience and idea will be selected by the votes of the participants in the conference hall.
The “TALK Session” in the 8th Congress will be held in sync with the theme of the Congress, Artificial intelligence, the secretary of this meeting is Dr. Asnafi.
